The chilly winter follows the damp autumn. The Winter months are December and January. This is the season of cold winds, snow, and gentle sunlight. Mornings are foggy, while nights are hazy. Long evenings may be rather freezing. Seasonal flowers and fresh veggies make us happy. Crops mature. Farmers are overjoyed. We like picnics, fairs, and festivals when the weather is nice. It is also the season for Christmas and the Saraswati Puja. The poor, on the other hand, suffer throughout the cold. Spring will arrive shortly. There is joy after suffering.

My Favourite Season (Winter Season)
The Indian calendar divides the season cycle into six major sections. Winter is the fifth season. It usually starts in November and lasts until mid-February. My favourite season is winter as it is the most pleasant and comfortable for me. The sky is clear and sparkling during this time of year. These are the freezing months, which are pleasant for the wealthy but unpleasant for the poor. It is generally free of diseases and flooding. This time of year, we have a much greater supply of fish, fruits, and vegetables, thus life is less expensive than in other seasons. There is hardly little rain, and everyone is taking full advantage of the pleasant sun. In this season, festivals like – Christmas and Saraswati Puja are celebrated with great enthusiasm. Picnics, book fairs, seminars, conferences, circus shows, and musical events are also common during this period. A festive mood prevails everywhere. On the other hand, Examinees are unable to fully enjoy the season since they are studying for their exams. They must be jealous of others who can enjoy outings over the holiday season.
